Ryan R. Zimmerman, DVM, earned his degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.

He was raised in nearby Lindsey, and attended Fremont Ross High School, where he was active in sports, FFA, and 4-H. Dr. Zimmerman joined Westview Veterinary Hospital, Inc. in  2005. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Equine Practitioners where he sits on the committee for Infectious Disease, and serves on the Executive Board of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Zimmerman sees large, as well as small animals. He has strong interest  in equine lameness and reproduction as well as  small animal orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Zimmerman resides in Fremont with his wife, Sarah, twin girls, Lauren and Faith, son, Aidan, dog, Mason, cats, Raven and Jack, and horses. He also attends Lindsey United Methodist Church.  In his spare time, he is on the Board of Directors for the Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce, and is a Lieutenant with the Lindsey Volunteer Fire Department where he has been a firefighter and First Responder since 1996.


Veronica "Ronie"Meer, DVM, CVMMP, earned her degree from The Ohio State University in 2012, Ronie grew up in Hamilton, a northern suburb of  Cincinnati. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in 2006 from Otterbein College.  While there, she participated in the Intercollegiate Dressage Team, Eventing Team, and was an active member of the Pre-Veterinary Medicine Association and Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Fraternity.  During undergraduate and graduate school, Dr. Meer worked for Annehurst Veterinary Hospital; a busy, small animal emergency practice in Columbus. While there, she specialized in reproduction technology and overnight emergencies.  She was also very active in Annehurst's rescue program. Dr. Meer was instrumental in helping to rescue over 150 animals after Hurricane Katrina, and the devastating floods in  Missouri. 

While at Ohio State, Dr. Meer participated in Colic Team, and Foal Sitting. She also was an active volunteer with Equine Intensive Care. After her time at Ohio State, Dr. Meer participated in a six month intensive equine internship in Tryon, North Carolina. During her time at Tryon, she received training in all aspects of equine medicine including sports medicine, reproduction, internal medicine, dentistry and surgery.  Dr. Meer then practiced Equine and Small Animal medicine at a mixed animal practice in Glenwood, Maryland before returning back to Ohio to be closer to her family. Dr. Meer joined Westview Veterinary Hospital in July, 2014. 

She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.  Dr. Meer recently received her Veterinary Medical Manipulation Certification from the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute and will be soon be certified for Equine Acupuncture from the Chi Institute. Dr. Meer sees large and small animals. She has strong interest in equine lameness, sports medicine, complementary veterinary therapies and dentistry as well as all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine. 

In Dr. Meer's free time, she enjoys riding and training her two off-the-track thoroughbreds, Nike and Clyde in Eventing. Having once having competed at the upper levels,  she is hoping to return to competing in the future.  Dr. Meer resides in Norwalk with her Firefigher husband, Matt. You may see her running with her dogs Bodie, a German Short-haired Great Dane and Murray, a Heinz 57 or hanging out with her three cats: Ben, Blaine and Percy. 


Brandy Nuhfer, DVM,  earned her degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.  Brandy grew up on a beef cattle, grain and hay farm near Medina, Ohio.  She was very active in 4-H for ten years, taking market steer, market lamb, market hog and beef breeding projects.  After graduation from Cloverleaf High School in 2003, she obtained an Associate of Science degree in Livestock Science from Ohio State's Agricultural Technical Institute in 2005.  Dr. Nuhfer then majored in Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University and graduated in 2007 with her Bachelor’s degree.  In 2010, Dr. Nuhfer obtained her Master of Public Health degree from OSU.  After graduation, she worked in busy a four doctor mixed animal practice in Loudonville, Ohio for two years, focusing on dairy herd health but also provided services for small animals, sheep, goats and horses as well. Dr. Nuhfer is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.

 Dr. Nuhfer and her husband, Jason reside in Willard on a 115 head Jersey dairy farm, Bar Lee Jerseys.  They have a son named Gage and two cats, Hank and Sparkle.   In her spare time, Dr. Nuhfer enjoys snow skiing, and volunteering in the Equine Intensive Care. Along with attending veterinary school, Dr. Garrett participated in many externships at some top equine hospitals including Hagyard, Peterson and Smith, and Tennessee Equine Hospital.
